콜라주는 서로 다른 조각들을 한 화면 위에 병치해, 각 조각의 이질성을 지우지 않은 채 새로운 의미의 질서를 만들어내는 방식이다. 서울 또한 그러하다. 서울이라는 도화지에는 시대와 국적, 장르를 가리지 않고 저마다의 결을 지닌 수많은 문화가 담긴다. 이 문화들은 각자의 자리에서 고유한 빛을 내며 존재하지만, 그들은 흩어져 머무르지 않는다. 서로를 스치고 겹치고, 섞이고 변주되는 과정 속에서 이전에는 없던 새로운 조화, 서울류(流)가 만들어진다. 다양한 조각들이 공존하는 서울. 그들이 모여서 하나가 될 때, 비로소 서울은 완성된다.

Collage is a method of juxtaposing disparate fragments on a single surface — creating a new order of meaning without erasing the distinctiveness of each piece. Seoul is much the same. On the canvas that is Seoul, countless cultures find their place, each carrying its own texture, regardless of era, origin, or genre. These cultures exist in their own right, radiating their own unique light — yet they do not remain scattered or apart. Through the process of brushing against one another, overlapping, blending, and transforming, something entirely new emerges: a harmony that never existed before — Seoul-ryu (流).

Seoul, where diverse fragments coexist. It is only when they gather and become one that Seoul is truly complete.
