서울류(流)의 원천은 이 도시의 독특한 지형에 있다. 서울을 둘러싼 산과, 에너지가 흩어지지 않고 응축되는 분지(Basin) 지형은 천연의 버루와 같다.

이 버루 안에서 600년의 역사와 시민들의 역동적인 삶이 맹렬하게 갈리고 섞인다. 특히 성수동 같은 도심 곳곳의 '문화적 용광로'들은 이 마찰을 증폭시키며, 비로소 '검고 짙은 먹'이라는 서울만의 고밀도 에너지를 빚어낸다. 이제, 잘 갈린 먹은 붓끝에 머금어졌다. 응축된 에너지는 디지털 네트워크와 한강의 물길을 타고, 세계라는 한지 위로 부드럽게 스며들며 번져 나간다. 강력한 서울의 흐름을 가장 한국적인 식물의 질감과 명암을 통해, 깊이 있는 수묵의 농담(濃淡)으로 이곳에 그려내고자 한다.

The source of Seoul-ryu (Seoul's Flow) lies in the city's unique topography. The mountains surrounding Seoul and its basin geography — where energy condenses rather than disperses — function as a natural ink stone.
Within this basin, 600 years of history and the dynamic lives of its citizens are ground and blended with fierce intensity. Cultural melting pots scattered throughout the city — places like Seongsu-dong — amplify this friction, forging Seoul's own high-density energy: a "dark, concentrated ink." Now, the well-ground ink is held at the tip of the brush. This condensed energy flows along digital networks and the Han River, softly seeping and spreading across the world as if across a sheet of hanji. We seek to render Seoul's powerful current here — through the textures and tones of Korea's most native plants, in the deep gradations of ink wash.
