This woodland garden reveals the importance and beauty of the shaded understory. Beneath a light canopy, understory plantings organized in circular patterns rise from reflecting water, opening a porous ground for pedestrian flows. The spatial composition draws on these geometries as symbols of movement, encouraging drift around and between them, allowing multiple free trajectories of paths. Shrub layers intermingle with ferns and large-leaved perennials, creating a diverse palette of greens enriched with bronze, copper, and silver tones. This textured vegetation fosters a calm, immersive atmosphere, where light, water, and ground interact to shape a living, breathable landscape, inviting slow exploration and seasonal change a plaidoyer for quality of spaces in a time of climatic crisis.
